FCC adds humanoid and quadruped robots to its Covered List

The FCC says it has updated its Covered List to add two new categories: advanced robotic devices — defined as mobile robots such as humanoids and quadrupeds — and connected power inverters made in foreign countries.
The agency says the move follows determinations by a White House-convened interagency body with national security expertise, which concluded these foreign-made products pose unacceptable risks to U.S. national security and to the safety and security of U.S. persons.
