Storage giant Seagate's stock surged 7.9%. CEO Dave Mosley stated that the performance is primarily driven by robust cloud data center demand and disciplined execution, with momentum expected to continue into 2027.
He noted that as AI accelerates data generation and increases its value, there will be durable long-term demand for mass capacity storage. Seagate is well-positioned to address the strengthening exabyte demand through its Mozaic platform and differentiated HAMR (Heat-Assisted Magnetic Recording) technology roadmap.
