Anthropic says Claude Mythos Preview exposed structural weaknesses in HAWK cryptography

Anthropic says researchers using Claude Mythos Preview found improved ways to attack cryptographic algorithms, uncovering structural weaknesses in a scheme called HAWK.
The result does not mean post-quantum encryption is broken. Instead, the study suggests HAWK may be weaker than previously estimated, potentially requiring much larger keys and undercutting some of its efficiency advantages.
