A Business Insider story says actors are increasingly seeing AI-generated remakes and digital doubles of their performances. In a quoted thread, Yishan argues that if AI threatens your job, the first move is to see whether you can use AI to recreate the full function of your employer, or a profitable slice of it.

The post frames AI disruption as something workers may be able to turn back on incumbents: if studios can use AI to cut actors out, actors can also use the same tools to make films themselves.

The linked article describes examples like Brittany Marsicek discovering a vertical drama she starred in had been remade with a character that looked and sounded like her, and Ashley BeLoat finding an AI-generated remake of a series she led.
