Google makes Gemini Interactions API generally available with REST and SSE

Google says the Gemini Interactions API is now generally available, replacing older RPC quirks with standard REST + SSE.
The new docs and SDK support text generation, multimodal understanding, image generation, structured output, tools, function calling, agents, and background execution, with quickstarts available for Python, JavaScript, and REST.
