NVIDIA opens a model that suggests the next calibration step for quantum processors

NVIDIA released an open model that reads diagnostic plots from quantum processors and recommends the next calibration experiment.
The work is notable because it was trained on measurement data contributed by rival hardware makers and three national labs. The model targets a real bottleneck in quantum bring-up: each qubit’s frequency and pulse timing drift over hours, so operators still spend days or weeks re-deriving settings by hand and judging whether fits converged before choosing the next experiment.
