Greptile launches a free security agent that blends static analysis, SCA, and AI
garrytan · x · 2026-07-29
Greptile says its new security agent combines static analysis, SCA, and AI agents to catch security flaws before code is merged.
The company argues that coding agents have increased the rate of security incidents, and that neither agents nor purely deterministic tools are enough on their own. It frames security review as something that should happen alongside normal code review, because many vulnerabilities are really logical mistakes with security consequences. The feature is enabled by default and free for all Greptile users.
