Microsoft Launches In-House Cybersecurity Model and Multi-Agent Defense Platform

Microsoft has launched MAI-Cyber-1-Flash, its first in-house cybersecurity model, alongside Project Perception, a new agentic cybersecurity platform. The system deploys red, blue, and green agents to find, prioritize, and patch vulnerabilities. Microsoft claims the model achieves superior CyberGym scores at half the cost of frontier alternatives by routing only the hardest 10% of tasks to larger models.
