Researchers say AI books can reshape a market even when the books are bad

A follow-up post on the same paper argues that AI-written books do not need to be good to matter.
The point is that cultural and market “mode collapse” can happen whenever a large number of participants unreflectively use AI. In this framing, volume alone can reshape a marketplace even if individual works are low quality.
