Nvidia backs Ilya Sutskever’s SSI with a Vera Rubin compute deal reportedly worth $5B

Nvidia is backing Ilya Sutskever’s Safe Superintelligence with a long-term compute partnership that includes access to the Vera Rubin GPU platform and is reported to be worth about $5 billion.
According to Nvidia, the deal is meant to help SSI scale its research by roughly an order of magnitude. Sutskever said the lab has research worth scaling and that access to a large NVIDIA computer will let it push into the next phase.
