ChatGPT Voice plus Codex lets users steer coding agents hands-free all day
nickbaumann_ · x · 2026-07-28
The post says ChatGPT Voice combined with Codex has changed how the author gets work done. Instead of sitting at a laptop and typing prompts, they can stay in a live conversation with agents while moving around.
The key use case is hands-free direction: walking through PRDs, Slack, Notion, and GitHub PRs; making launch plans; checking what finished; reprioritizing stuck work; and asking for tradeoffs between options. The author argues this is more useful than voice as simple dictation, because the agent handles the slow tool-heavy parts while the human keeps steering the work.
