Perplexity brings its Personal Computer agent to Windows after the Mac launch

The Verge reports that Perplexity is bringing its agentic Personal Computer tool to Windows, extending a product that already launched on Mac in April.
Perplexity describes Personal Computer as a locally run AI system that can act like a “general-purpose digital worker.” On Windows, it can access local files and apps to carry out tasks such as:
- creating documents
- updating spreadsheets
- working inside Microsoft 365 and Teams
The launch is framed as a way to close the remaining gap between Perplexity’s earlier Mac release and the much larger Windows ecosystem.
