A Blender MCP pipeline turned one photo into a rigged, poseable mecha figure
A Reddit user described a pipeline that chained Blender MCP with Hunyuan3D and two image models to build a full mecha from a single reference photo.
The workflow was:
- Nano Banana Pro generated a clean front view
- GPT Image 2 expanded it into back and 45-degree views
- Hunyuan3D used the three views to create the base mesh
- Hunyuan3D tools handled retopology and texturing
- Claude via MCP cleaned up low-detail head and weapon geometry inside Blender
The final result was a posable mecha model with a cockpit and rigged joints, already loaded into a Three.js game.
