Hundreds of Claude chats were indexed publicly after users shared them

Hundreds of Claude conversations were found publicly accessible through search engines after users shared links that were then indexed by Google and similar services.
The chats, some containing personal and work-related information, were exposed across more than 25 pages of search results before the availability was removed over the weekend. Anthropic said shared conversations are only public when users choose to share them, but the share flow did not clearly warn that search engines could surface the links.
