Scoble says AI glasses can still work without a color camera as phones and sensors do the heavy lifting

Scoble argues that AI glasses do not need a color camera to be useful, especially if the glasses can lean on the cameras already in your phone plus other sensors.

He cites Apple’s rumored decision not to include a recording camera, recalls Apple’s old QuickTake camera, and says the bigger opportunity is to rethink glasses as part of a larger sensing stack rather than a standalone recorder. He also mentions VITURE, his Looki pendant, and Niantic Spatial’s digital twin demo, concluding that privacy is effectively gone once you turn on any camera anyway.
