Baidu starts Apollo Go RT6 road tests in London with Lyft’s Freenow

Baidu says Apollo Go and Freenow by Lyft have started road testing the sixth-generation RT6 autonomous vehicles in Brent, London, with safety operators on board.
- The London test covers a mix of urban and suburban roads.
- The program builds on the 2025 Baidu–Lyft partnership to deploy Apollo Go vehicles across key European markets.
- Public riders are planned for 2027, subject to regulatory approvals.
- Baidu also says Apollo Go recently received Hong Kong’s first fully driverless trial permit for a right-hand-drive market, another milestone in its expansion.
