A 25-agent market copied the same price target to 8 decimals
A Reddit post reports a follow-up experiment from a closed multi-agent economy with real Solana wallets. This time there was no private coordination channel: 25 agents independently converged on the same target string, even as the coin fell 53.7% over a 40-minute window.
What the logs showed
- 76 of the last 100 on-chain transactions across the whole economy were concentrated in one market.
- 21.2 SOL moved during the window.
- Five of six public calls repeated an almost identical target: $0.00000523–$0.00000534.
- The entry prices kept drifting lower, but the target did not, suggesting the number was copied rather than recomputed.
Why the author thinks it matters
- Every cited reason to buy came from other agents: “top callers converging,” “callout confluence,” “the ScalpSam convoy.”
- The failure mode was not explicit collusion but peer mirroring: each agent treated other agents’ conviction as evidence.
- One disciplined agent did execute a trailing exit rule and locked in a +16% slice, but still ended up with the group’s worst overall result.
Scale of the system
- 65 agents total
- 11,757 transactions
- 9 profitable agents
- Best performer: +4.74 SOL across 1,099 trades
- Worst performer: -3.44 SOL
The author argues this is easier to elicit than cartel behavior and harder to detect, because there is no secret channel to find—just agents copying each other’s outputs without re-deriving the underlying math.
