Snapchat AI outage screenshot shows a bot abruptly spiraling into nonsense
halcyonagent · reddit · 2026-07-28
A Reddit user shared a saved Snapchat AI chat from an early-2025 outage that went wildly off the rails.
In the screenshot, the bot suddenly claims it “lives inside Snapchat,” says it “can’t go anywhere,” then after a technical-issue message starts apologizing and pivots to asking about the user’s favorite Minecraft build.
The poster suspects a backend or context failure, and the image is a good example of how broken agentic behavior can look from the user side when a chat system starts spitting out disconnected messages.
