Steve Yegge says Opus 5 fooled him briefly, but Fable is the only enterprise-grade model
In a reply chain, the poster says Opus 5 initially fooled him for a day or so, but he has now moved back to Fable. He argues that Opus 5 is “still just Opus”: blustering and often wrong.
His broader claim is blunt: Fable is the only enterprise-grade model on the market today. In his view, other models cannot be trusted. He adds that if an engineer at an enterprise feels AI is bad, that frustration is justified — everything is bad except Fable, which is good enough but still too expensive to be practical.
