Codex handled a launch video from a phone, then kept iterating on Slack feedback
OpenAI DevEx engineer @jxnlco described a surprisingly hands-off workflow:
- He connected remotely from his phone while on a bike ride.
- He asked Codex to use computer use to edit a launch video, export it, and post it back to Slack.
- Codex delivered a new version within 20 minutes.
- He then instructed it to keep checking the Slack thread every 30 minutes and export V2, V3, and V4.
By the time he got home, the launch video had already been approved. The story highlights Codex being used as an agentic assistant that can monitor feedback and keep shipping revisions without direct supervision.
