Nvidia backs Safe Superintelligence in a deal that could boost compute 10x
智东西 · wechat · 2026-07-28
Safe Superintelligence has announced a long-term strategic partnership with Nvidia that will give the startup much larger access to GPUs and is expected to increase its compute capacity 10x over the next 12 months.
The deal comes with undisclosed investment terms, though multiple reports say Nvidia may invest $5 billion. SSI, founded by Ilya Sutskever in 2024, has not shipped products or generated revenue and has already raised billions while staying highly secretive about its research.
