Safe Superintelligence has announced a long-term strategic partnership with Nvidia.
- Nvidia will invest in SSI and provide access to its next-generation Vera Rubin compute platform.
- SSI says the deal will let its compute scale to 10x current levels over the next 12 months.
- The company says its research has reached the point where it is worth scaling aggressively.
- Multiple reports estimate the investment at billions of dollars, with Bloomberg citing about $5 billion.
- Nvidia says it was convinced after seeing SSI’s closely guarded research progress and calls the company’s work an important milestone.
- SSI, founded in 2024 by Ilya Sutskever, Daniel Gross, and Daniel Levy, says it remains focused solely on building safe superintelligence rather than shipping products.
- PitchBook estimates SSI has raised about $7 billion so far at a $32 billion post-money valuation.
