Palantir CEO says enterprise AI still needs the application layer
Alex Karp told attendees at Palantir’s Institutional Sovereignty bootcamp that open-source AI matters to the broader AI revolution, but the real value in enterprise comes from the application layer.
He said partners are effectively repeating a “no ontology, no love” line: companies need software that makes models useful in practice, aligns incentives with customers, and lets enterprises own their data instead of being taken advantage of. Palantir says that approach is resonating with customers because it focuses on delivering concrete business outcomes.
