Microsoft launched its first cybersecurity-specialized model, MAI-Cyber-1-Flash, plus a new agentic security platform called Perception.
- The model is designed to find difficult vulnerabilities in complex codebases and is built around Microsoft’s MDASH harness for vulnerability identification and remediation.
- Perception orchestrates agents to automate security workflows, including bug finding and fixing, and can integrate with MDASH.
- Microsoft says the model beats competitor models on an established AI cybersecurity benchmark and is more cost-effective.
