RealSense launches Perception Studio with VIO, closer-range depth, and people detection

RealSense says it has launched Perception Studio for Physical AI, a continuous-release program for depth-camera users built around early access to new perception capabilities.
What’s new
- Visual-Inertial Odometry (VIO) via cuVSLAM on D455 / D436 global-shutter cameras
- Improved close-range depth for objects closer than 2 cm
- People detection as part of the launch set
Each feature ships with a tutorial, demo video, and links to technical guides or libraries. The company frames the program as a way to help teams iterate faster and ship perception-heavy robotics products sooner.
