Moonshot releases Kimi K3 weights under a commercial-use-restricted license

Moonshot has released the weights for Kimi K3, a 2.6T-parameter model, under its own Kimi K3 License.
- Artificial Analysis says Kimi K3 is now the top open-weights model at 57 on its Intelligence Index.
- The license is commercial-use restricted: compared with MIT/Apache-style licenses, it requires separate agreements for model-as-a-service businesses above $20M revenue and for commercial products above 100M MAU or $20M monthly users.
- Moonshot also published a technical report covering the model’s architecture and training approach.
