Delhi court rejects ANI injunction and rules AI training can count as private use

The Delhi High Court has rejected a major copyright injunction request from Indian news agency ANI in its case against OpenAI.

According to The Decoder, the court became the first to classify AI training as private use. ANI also weakened its own argument by citing articles published after the models were trained. The underlying lawsuit is still ongoing.
