Microsoft introduced MAI-Cyber-1-Flash, a new cybersecurity model integrated into its MDASH multi-agent vulnerability detection and remediation system:
- Microsoft says it delivers comparable performance at 50% of the cost of leading models
- The model is designed to handle up to 90% of MDASH tasks
- Harder cases are escalated to larger, more expensive models such as GPT-5.4
- MDASH reportedly orchestrates 100+ agents to find, validate, and prove vulnerabilities faster than manual review
