Microsoft launches MAI-Cyber-1-Flash and MDASH, claiming top CyberGym results at half the cost

Microsoft announced MAI-Cyber-1-Flash, its first cybersecurity model, and paired it with MDASH, a multi-agent security harness. The company says the combination finds hard vulnerabilities in complex codebases and delivers world-class CyberGym performance at 50% of the cost of leading models.

The stack is designed around specialized agents that simulate attacks, detect and triage issues, and then fix and remediate them. Microsoft frames the architecture as separating the harness, context/signals, and action space from any single model family so it can improve the cost-to-outcome frontier.
