US Energy Department selects 278 Genesis Mission projects for AI science workflows

The U.S. Department of Energy says it has selected 278 Genesis Mission projects to build AI-enabled scientific workflows.
According to the announcement, the projects were chosen from a nationwide response spanning all 50 states. DOE says the initiative is meant to accelerate breakthroughs in energy, discovery science, and national security, and to help double U.S. scientific productivity by combining AI, high-performance computing, and the national lab ecosystem.
