Nvidia backs SSI in a strategic deal that gives the startup access to Vera Rubin compute

- Nvidia has invested in Ilya Sutskever’s Safe Superintelligence (SSI) and formed a long-term strategic partnership with the startup.
- SSI will gain access to Nvidia’s Vera Rubin platform, which it says will raise its compute capacity by an order of magnitude.
- The two companies will also co-develop Nvidia’s current and future compute platforms.
- Financial terms were not disclosed; Nvidia said the deal followed access to SSI’s closely guarded research.
