Alibaba has started testing Qwen Office, a new AI workplace product that combines Qoder Work, Wukong, and Mulerun into a single assistant.
- The product can break down requests and execute multi-step tasks to deliver PPTs, Word docs, Excel sheets, web pages, reports, code, and multimedia files.
- It connects to DingTalk, Feishu, local files, and browsers.
- The test version uses Qwen3.8-Max-preview by default, with a million-token context window, native multimodal perception, and code generation/understanding.
- Pricing includes a free tier and paid personal and enterprise plans, with personal plans starting at RMB 78/month and 158/month.
- In testing, it produced a 12-page earnings PPT in 7 minutes with editable charts, created a Feishu doc from a podcast transcript in 2 minutes, and generated a shopping website after 1 hour and 8 minutes; the main caveat was slow web generation and a document-encoding bug.
