Shenzhen’s new humanoid robot fighting league scores taunts and knockdowns

A new humanoid robot fighting league, URKL, opened in Shenzhen on July 16, 2026.
The league’s scoring system is unusually theatrical:
- a strike = 1 point
- a knockdown = 3 points
- taunting gestures also score
Robots get 10 seconds to stand back up after hitting the mat. All teams fight with the same EngineAI T800, so the contest is entirely about control software rather than hardware. In other words: same body, different brain, best code wins.
