Voibe adds Windows app and cloud transcription with zero-retention privacy stack

Voibe launched two major updates last week: a Windows app and cloud transcription.
The company says it is no longer just an “offline dictation app,” but privacy remains a core product feature. To preserve that, it built its own inference stack using only open-source models on its own infrastructure.
Key privacy claims:
- Zero retention: audio is transcribed and then discarded
- No Big Tech AI lab ever sees the voice data
- The result is better performance without the usual privacy tradeoffs
Early user feedback has been strong, and Windows already accounted for nearly 50% of all new signups in the first week.
