Anthropic shipped Claude Opus 5, describing it as near-Fable-5 intelligence at half the price of the old Opus 4.8 tier.
It also became the new default model for Claude Max, marking Anthropic's fourth Claude release in under two months after Mythos 5, Fable 5, and Sonnet 5.
