Alibaba starts internal testing of Qwen Work, an office agent that also sets up hosting

Alibaba is reportedly testing Qwen Work (“千问办公”), a new office-focused agent product that consolidates several internal agent lines — QoderWork, Wukong, and MuleRun — under one umbrella led by DingTalk’s new CEO Chen Yusen.

The article says the product is now in internal testing on mobile and DingTalk, with a web version planned later. It can handle group chats, calendars, to-dos, and enterprise workflows from the sidebar, and can even generate HTML while also setting up a domain, database, and hosting end to end.

The author’s broader argument is that office software is entering a new era: instead of selling a fixed tool, companies will sell “intelligence” that can build the right workflow for each user and better handle long-tail, non-standard tasks. Alibaba may be well positioned because it combines Qwen models, Alibaba Cloud/Bailian, and years of enterprise data, permissions, and workflow infrastructure inside DingTalk.
