U-BOT Aims to Be a Cheap, Modular Utility Robot for Outdoor Work

The creator announces Day 1 of a new project: U-BOT, a small, easy-to-repair utility robot for lightweight outdoor work.
Key design goals:
- 3D-printed and cheap
- modular and easy to repair
- optimized wheel design, with the wheel driving on the outer rim to achieve a 3:1 gear ratio
The accompanying render shows the wheel/gear assembly and suggests the project is still in early mechanical prototyping.
