NVIDIA says it is using its Vera CPU to speed up EDA workflows for next-generation CPUs and GPUs.

The company says early testing with Cadence Jasper and Synopsys VCS showed up to 1.5x performance gains on selected workloads. Vera combines 88 custom Olympus CPU cores, LPDDR5X memory, and a second-generation Scalable Coherent Fabric, and NVIDIA says it will keep optimizing EDA applications across its CPU roadmap, including the next-generation Rosa CPU.
