AAAI author misses reciprocal reviewer deadline and worries about desk rejection
TheSupremeEgger · reddit · 2026-07-27
A Reddit user says they missed AAAI AISI’s reciprocal reviewer nomination field by the July 21 AoE deadline, then realized a qualified graduate co-author could satisfy the obligation. They added the co-author in OpenReview and emailed the workflow chairs, but have only received an automated reply so far.
The post asks whether this kind of administrative miss is likely to trigger a desk rejection, or whether the chairs usually correct it when a qualified reviewer is available and willing to take the full load.
