Hermes Agent says it can now scale to a near-infinite number of MCP and plugin tools with almost no accuracy loss, by hiding tools behind a single search-and-execute interface.
- The team says progressive disclosure makes tools behave more like skills.
- If tool metadata is small, names and descriptions are shown directly.
- If exposing them would consume more than 5% of context, the agent only sees that tools exist behind tool search.
- Internal tests reportedly cut input-token costs sharply while preserving accuracy.
