OpenSmith, an open-source local-first observability tool for LLM pipelines, says version 0.1.6 adds a redesigned dashboard, live WebSocket trace updates, CLI search and filters, JSON/CSV export, OpenTelemetry export to Jaeger and Grafana Tempo, optional Postgres support, token budget alerts, project initialization, and auto port detection.

The maintainer says the tool keeps traces in SQLite on the user’s machine, needs no cloud account or Docker, and has reached 3.7K PyPI downloads so far, with 116 in the last week. They are asking for feedback from people running local pipelines with Ollama or llama.cpp.
