Project N.O.M.A.D. is an offline-first knowledge and education server that runs on a Debian machine and exposes everything through a browser on port 8080 after a one-time internet-connected install.

It bundles six on-box components:

The project is open source under Apache 2.0, built by Chris Sherwood and one developer over more than a year, and the repo reportedly reached #1 on GitHub Trending. Sherwood frames it as a free, self-contained way to keep critical information available when connectivity fails.
