Codex Desktop crash loop leaves long-running tasks stuck as running on macOS

A Codex Desktop user reports an unrecoverable crash loop when reopening a long-running task on macOS. After the app crashes mid-task, restart shows the task as still running, reopening it returns to the crash screen, and retrying does not clear the stuck state.
The reporter says the UI and execution state appear to diverge during long tasks with recovery cycles and subagent executions. The only escape is force-quitting the app, which interrupts work and leaves no normal recovery path.
