AI game demo gets called out as mostly scripts, ray tracing and static enemies

A quoted critique argues that the showcased AI game demo is less impressive than it looks: the FPS camera behavior can be scripted in any 3D engine, bullet impacts and much of the physics are just ray-tracing work, the level is basically boxes with Perlin-noise textures, and the enemies are static.

The commenter says the demo is still progress, but it is nowhere near generating a game people would actually want to play.
