Anthropic Jokes Aside, a Screenshot Argues Against Banning Open-Weight Models

A screenshot-style post jokes that Anthropic should make Fable 5 the CEO, after asking the model whether the company should lobby for a ban on open-weight models.
The image itself argues against such a ban: it says a ban would look like regulatory capture, wouldn’t improve safety globally, would hurt open research, and should be replaced by capability-based thresholds, transparency, and evaluation requirements that apply to all frontier developers.
