Open-source models will spread everywhere, and policy scare tactics won’t stop them

The post says it is unreasonable to expect AI labs to open source everything, but equally unreasonable for labs to try to policy-block or scare people away from open source models. The author’s view is that these models will spread everywhere eventually, so stopping them is futile.
