Claude warns before it hits context limits, unlike Codex’s more seamless flow

A user coming from Codex says the strangest thing about Claude is that it warns when it is nearing its context limit and would rather avoid starting something substantial than do it badly.

The contrast is that Codex feels more frictionless from the user side because you do not have to think about the context window nearly as much.
