David Friedberg argued that if you want to bet on AI, Google is the stock to own.
- He said investors who dislike Google’s infrastructure spending should simply not own the stock, because “someone else will buy it.”
- His thesis rests on Google’s consumer business, YouTube, and especially GCP as an enterprise AI layer that can run any model or workflow.
- He also pointed to Google’s portfolio bets, including its Anthropic stake, saying that value has already moved by more than $20 billion in a quarter.
