A Claude workflow that loads context first makes the agent feel like a real second brain

The author says the last two weeks with their agent have felt dramatically better after changing the instructions they give Claude into what they call the “Load & Layer Method.”
The workflow makes the agent gather context before replying:
- run semantic search for anything even loosely relevant
- infer the business area and load the matching strategy/context file
- traverse projects, clients, meetings, threads, and issues to layer in more context
They say the agent now comes to conversations prepped, so they no longer need to explain as much and can make simple requests like asking for a sales page draft. The broader takeaway is that a well-built “second brain” can materially improve agent usefulness.
