Anthropic is accused of training Claude on 7 million pirated books

A reposted TFTC21 claim says Anthropic pirated 7 million books from LibGen to train Claude and still argues for broad fair-use rights over “all the world’s output.” The post also quotes Sacks saying Anthropic never labeled the issue as IP theft because doing so would undercut its fair-use lawsuits.
